Lebanese artist Ali Atrissi exhibits his work at King’s Lynn’s Custom House

Lynn’s Custom House has become the venue for various exhibitions by artists hailing from Greyfriars Art Space.

This week, a Lebanese artist exhibited a variety of oil paintings and wood carvings in the historic building.

Ali Atrissi lives in Lynn but is originally from Lebanon and has also lived in Romania, where he has also exhibited art.

Ali was supported by his wife and two children throughout the exhibition.

Over the next few months, various artists will exhibit their works at the Custom House.

Inge-Lise Greaves, an artist from Greyfriars Art Space, said: “They’re a lovely family, Ali doesn’t speak much English so it’s a family affair.

“When he has art exhibitions, because they all get involved in interpreting Ali and helping him settle in.”

Ali’s wife Elena said: “It’s been going really well so far, we’ve had a lot of interest.”

Ali’s works can be seen at the Custom House until this Sunday.
