Blake Shorthouse has been appointed a trustee of the National Portrait Gallery

Blake’s Shorthouse

Blake Shorthouse has worked in finance for about 30 years. He joined KKR, a global investment manager specializing in alternative asset classes, in 2014, where he led the firm’s work with Family Capital in Europe and the Middle East. Prior to KKR, he worked in London and Zurich at Merrill Lynch, UBS and Credit Suisse. Blake holds an honors degree in history and politics from the University of Exeter, UK.

The administrators of the National Portrait Gallery are not remunerated. These renewals were made in accordance with the Cabinet Office Governance Code for Public Appointments. The process is regulated by the Public Appointments Commissioner. The Government Governance Code requires that any significant political activity undertaken by an appointee in the past five years be disclosed. This is defined to include holding office, speaking in public, making a recordable donation or running for office. Blake Shorthouse reported no activity.
